3rd IKV Memo
Praise the Lord for the overwhelming response to the IKV Registration! We are expecting 5,500 kids and adults to join our 11th IKV! We look forward to celebrating the IKV with our brothers and sisters from China, Middle East and all over the Philippines.
We must prepare ourselves on how the Lord will show us His Power of love! Indeed this IKV brings so much promise and miracles. We expect nothing but only the best of God’s love!
We are sending additional information to make our IKV a truly exciting, joyful and love filled event!
As CFC Elders, we are happy to work hand in hand with you in making this event a sure success! Here are a few important reminders for the IKV:
1. PARENTS CONFERENCE – We are inviting all KFC Parents to attend our Parents Conference on May 3, 2008, 3:00 – 5:00 pm in the AVR of HNU Elementary Building. Gifts are awaiting the parents who are joining!
2. INSURANCE – All IKV Registered delegates and Service Team are covered by Accident Insurance amounting to Php 100,000 by Oriental Insurance Corporation. If there be a need for you to claim Insurance benefits please inform asap Luchie Nepumoceno at 09178585213 and Michelle Llaban at 09228596482.
3. DELEGATION HEADS – Please prioritize Delegation Heads Meeting on May 2, 2008 5:00-6:00 pm at the AVR of HNU Elementary Building. We will give final instructions during the said meeting. We are also inviting you to join us in the Elders Lounge where you may take rest, eat snacks and mingle with other KFC coordinators, CFC Provincial Leaders and KFC and CFC International Council
4. FOOD DISTRIBUTION – Please take note of the Food Distribution Schedule. Jollibee will be our food concessionaire for the IKV. Please ensure that the kids eat and finish their meals within two hours from food distribution to ensure good quality of food. Friday: Dinner: 6-7 pm, Saturday: Breakfast: 7-8am Lunch:11-12nn Dinner 6-7 pm, Sunday: Breakfast 8-9am, Lunch 11-12nn Please text to Julie Laparan at 09165191019 the name of the assigned person to claim your food.
5. FUN RUN – All kids part of the Sports Competition are encouraged to join the Bayani Buddy Fun Run on May 3, 2008, 5:30 am.Starting point is at St Joseph Cathedral, CPG Avenue Adidas will be giving away gifts to those who will join.
6. COUNTRYSIDE TOUR –Please confirm your registration with Sky Ortigas at 09228426820 upon arrival at the Conference venue. Please be in the Countryside Tour Booth in the Registration Area at least 30 minutes before scheduled time of Tour. Please bring a copy of your faxed/emailed list and copy of your deposit slip.
7. STRICTLY NO ID, NO ENTRY in the IKV MAIN venue and IKV School Accommodations.
8. CFC COUNCIL AND WIVES – Please confirm with Carol Fetalvero 09209004695 the list of your CFC Council who will join the conference. Please note that there will be no food allocated for them. The IKV will have concessionaires where they can buy their food. IDs will be provided for them.
9. ELDERS WELCOME PARTY – We are inviting all CFC Provincial Council Members and their wives and all KFC Provincial Couple Coordinators to please join the Elders Welcome Dinner Party on May 3, 2008 6-7pm at the AVR, Elementary Building of HNU. Our dear CFC International Council Members will be there to meet and celebrate with us
10. PARENTS PASS – Please note that those who paid Parents Registration are not part of the food allocation per province. They have to buy their own food during the IKV.

REGISTRATION SUMMARY AS OF APRIL 15, 2008
One (1) day before the IKV Regsitration deadline and we already have 3,075 registered delegates!

Peace!
The IKV is fast approaching and preparations are intensifying at each day. We are thankful for the coordinators who continually help the IKV committees serve better through their suggestions. The following are changes that we want to implement in the hope that we may truly bring the best for our dear KFC members:
REGISTRATION
The 11th IKV registration will be extended until April 16, 2008, until 5pm. The reasons for this extension are as follows:
· Banks are closed on the previously set deadline. Provinces will not be able to deposit their registration.
· Payday is on the 15th of the month. It will help the delegates’ parents if the deadline is reset after payday.
We will not be accepting any registrants after April 16, 2008, as this will greatly affect the preparations for food, transportation, ID kits, and accommodations.
COMPETITIONS
As updated in the website: http://www.11thikv.blogspot.com/ and the dissemination of information through your Metro Manila Sector Couple Coordinators and Regional Couple Coordinators, the IKV Competitions deadline is extended until April 15. With this extension is to make sure that all entries must be official delegates of the IKV.
We are also implementing the following changes:
1. The Praise Parade will be open to Junior and Senior kids.
Our guidelines say that only Senior Kids are qualified to join. Many are requesting that the JUNIOR kids join the parade since many delegations are short of Senior kids to qualify for the minimum number requirement. Also, Senior kids who are over 12 years old and have not crossed over to YFC may also join the parade. YFCs may participate as props men.
2. Sports and Creative competitions will strictly be for kids ages 9-12 years old.
In many sports events, there is always an issue of “over age,” specially when a certain player looks mature or taller than usual. We encourage that the delegations bring with them any PROOF OF AGE (ID, baptismal certificate, or birth certificate) in cases that there will be complaints from the competing teams.
There are SAGIP members who are 13 years old. We will still stick with the 12 years old age limit as agreed in consultation with the SAGIP full time workers. Kids who are below 9 years old are also discouraged to compete in sports. They can join the fun games and other workshops.
Creative competitions (except for Praise Parade) will still strictly follow the 9-12 years old age range. The Special Competitions, except for Bible Quiz that requires senior kids participants, will be open to all kids.
3. Participants of the Sports Competitions are highly encouraged to participate in the POWER RUN on Saturday morning of the IKV.
We hope these changes will help achieve our goal of molding kids to become more like Christ by sharing their talents to glorify God.

Re: Resolutions to the 11th IKV Competitions

Greetings!
There have been a lot of queries about the 11th IKV Competitions. We value the feedback of our dear KFC coordinators, and as organizers of the IKV we wish to honor their suggestions and give solutions to these challenges.
These are the issues:
Many delegations were not able to finalize their competitions participants on April 2 since the IKV registration deadline is yet on April 12.
There is an issue whether the submitted names in the competition forms are official IKV delegates or not. Since the deadline for the IKV Competitions is before the deadline of the IKV registration.
Another issue is about entries that were not able to make it to the 20 slots allotted for competitions. There are those who have prepared for a certain competition, but only to find out that other entries beat them to the spot.
We wish to solve these issues by making the following resolutions:
1. The competitions deadline is extended until April 15, 2008 at 5pm. You may submit your forms through fax at 02-7275777 or email at ikv08@yahoo.com.
2. We are adding 10 more entry slots for the competitions, making it 30 slots instead of just 20 slots. This applies only for the Creative and Special Competitions. Sports Competitions will remain at 20 slots.
3. We will be checking if the competitions participants are official registered delegates of the 11th IKV.
4. In case the name(s) of the competitions entry forms do not match the list of registered delegates, the competitions committee will consider the name(s) submitted to be invalid.
5 .If the number of officially registered names on the competitions entry form will not reach the minimum number requirement of a certain competition, the entry will be considered invalid. We advise that the delegations recheck their forms and update the committee of the final list of competitions participants.

1 Month to Go!
I'd like to encourage all KFC servants (Couple Coordinators, Ate and kuyas, MVs, FTWs, Sagip facis and workers) to set aside time for prayer and fasting. The success of the IKV will depend much on our prayers.
Let us go full speed ahead in intensifying our campaign for registration. It is almost April 12, our deadline for registration.
